A Visual Journey
Hi my name is Victoria Lopez, I'm an active fine arts professional in the San Antonio area. I've been drawing for as long as I could remember. I have always found drawing enjoyable but after watching "Kiki's Delivery Service" by Hayao Miyazak, a Japanese animator and founder of Studio Ghibli, It change my perspective of animation forever. I loved the way he drew the characters and the colors he used for his films. I started collecting all of his animated movies to learn more and get inspired.
I also got inspired by Disney and Pixar because of their story telling and plus my family is all about Disney. The way they animated movement and had the viewer feel for the main protagonist help me want to become a concept character artist.
Besides drawing, I enjoy sewing because my grandma taught me and my mother did arcatect and she would make jewelry, so I enjoy doing that as well. My mother also painted and would let me paint with her in class so art has always been apart of my life.
My dream is to one day make my own children book or be an intern with Pixar. Although, I also enjoyed working with children so I would like to be an art teacher or I would like to do art therapy. :)
